The Mulberry – part of the community.

There’s no doubt The Mulberry team is part of the Burnaby community and what better way is there to show it than to be an active participant and sponsor of local events around the area? Whether it’s hosting the Burnaby Fall Prevention Volunteer Appreciation Tea with honoured guests, such as Burnaby’s Mayor Derek Corrigan, federal MPs and our own municipal MLAs; or being the lead sponsor for The Mayor’s Annual Lawn Bowling Tournament with Mayor Wayne Wright in New Westminster, The Mulberry is proud to be a member of the community.

Haitian Earthquake Relief

In a coordinated effort with the Canadian Red Cross; the residents of The Summerhill came together to donate an amazing $6600, The Mulberry residents with $7107, and the staff contributed $1125. All these donations were matched by Pacific Arbour Retirement Communities, as well as, an additional $10,000. Just two weeks after the disaster, the Red Cross was delivered cheques totaling $39,664 for the Haitian relief effort. The Canadian Government has offered to match all these donations.
